Water conservation efforts have the potential to positively impact not only household water usage and costs, but also to benefit communities as a whole. Even with the upside potential, underserved communities face unique barriers, including lack of knowledge and awareness and lack of time or financial resources, to retrofitting water-using measures such as toilets.
Coordinating with the delivery of Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E)’s Energy Savings Assistance (ESA) Program targeted at income-qualified customers, RHA oversees contractors that provide water usage assessments and toilet retrofits in tandem with ESA services. RHA coordinated with PG&E and Solano County Water Agency to develop the approach to program leveraging and coordination and oversees execution of the program services offered both through ESA and the water coordination program.
