Cutting Costs and Consumption for Small Business
To help small businesses conserve energy and water, APU launched a program to help business owners identify facility improvements to boost efficiency. APU has contracted with RHA since 2018 to administer the program and help small businesses reduce consumption and cut costs.
RHA outreaches to Anaheim small businesses, assesses facilities’ efficiency, recommends energy- and water-saving opportunities and installs efficiency measures approved by business owners.

Program
Activities
- Secure customer participation through door-to-door canvassing, email marketing, direct mailings and outbound calling campaigns
- Conduct energy and water assessments to identify efficiency opportunities
- Educate business owners about the recommended upgrades and savings potential, secure project approval and install retrofits to reduce consumption and costs
